”Strike the Match” will be Taft McWhorter’s first solo exhibit in California. It will feature works from all of his unique styles, but will focus heavily on the Double Entendre Series. The title of the exhibit, “Strike the Match”, is a double entendre in itself. After moving from Houston Texas to Venice California 18 months ago, Taft and wife Dana have been working non-stop to expand their business to the West Coast and create a new audience of art collectors. It has been a challenging transition, and with this exhibit, the art-driven couple intend to light a fire!

The double meaning in the title is about Taft’s ongoing efforts to inspire and assist people in pursuing their passions. By teaching workshops about the business of art, volunteering in the community and mentoring emerging artists, Taft uses his knowledge and energy to empower others to reach for the stars.
