Taft, and his wife Dana, have been married 35 years and have 3 grown sons.  This dynamic duo run their art business as a team.  Taft has been exhibiting his contemporary art for over 18 years, becoming one of the most widely collected artists in Houston with over 800 collectors worldwide. He was named one of the Top 10 Artists in Houston in 2014 by the Houston Press and made the list of Houston’s 40 Most Fascinating People by the Houston Chronicle in 2015 for his philanthropic efforts. Taft and Dana have raised over a million dollars by donating artwork to charitable causes over the last decade. They have partnered with prestigious companies such as BMW, Porsche, The Houston Astros and The Houston Texans. Taft’s large scale work has been placed in hotels and restaurants across the US, including Westin and JW Marriott. In 2022, Dana and Taft published a 400 page art book titled “50 Artists Houston” offering a timestamp of the Houston art community.  They are currently working on Volume 2, set to hit bookshelves in 2025.  The two are now collaborating on a new series of artwork that combines their personalities on canvas.
